I've beet working on some new features after I submitted the new version, same features that are now working and being tested. It's a shame they didn't make it to the current release but I didn't want to wait any longer to release a larger quotes database.
The planned features are many; favorites, sms and mail sharing, facebook posting, and preferences for now. So I need a way to implement the options and make them accesible to the user in a simple way without cluttering the interface. I like the simplistic nature of it. So after many different attempts and prototypes, we came to the realization that the single-button paradigm is a gift from the technology Gods (thanks Apple).
The Lotus icon became the "Quote reload button" and why not, much more. The behavior is tap or hold. So basically a tap will get a new random quote and holding it for half a second will disclose the menu. This menu is the gateway to the new features.
The menu needs to have an organic feel, so i didn't want to use a standard one. Thanks to some basic geometry reminders from my friend Alex Lelievre and reminiscing the massive menu from autodesk's Maya, the menu became radial around the tapping finger. This is being tested now and it seems to be very intuitive, of course once you know about the behavior, so a simple first run help view is probably the way to go.
So as you can see, I got my work laid out for me, now is a matter of implementing.

Over the years I've been focused on collecting knowledge about life, hoping that combined with experience, the knowledge can eventually become wisdom. These quotes and the wisdom contained in them have been crucial reminders of what life is all about. Throughout the years they helped me stay grounded and focused. So I thought I should share them with you.
The program is free and without any ads, for that will defeat its purpose. Download it, install it and enjoy. Tap it once a day or as many times as you like and let these little reminders grow on you. The database is comprised of 500 quotes and it keeps growing so stay tuned for updates.
